Dandruff can be particularly difficult to recover from and many people continue to suffer from it sporadically for years afterwards. Natural hair care treatments for conditions like Dandruff are great because you can make them yourself. That way you know exactly what goes into them. To get the most out of natural hair care recipes for dandruff, you should try combining it with a natural shampoo and conditioner. Homemade Natural Hair Care Products: Dandruff Oil Treatment In treating dandruff with natural hair care recipes, it is important to use an oil treatment for the scalp once each week. The apple cider vinegar helps to balance the pH of your scalp and the cornmeal gently exfoliates the dry, flaky skin. The good news is that the recipe is very easy to make and use.
To make this great treatment you’ll need:
A half cup of grapeseed oil
2 tablespoons of cornmeal
1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
A plastic bag to cover your hair
Natural hair care is simple to do. The first thing you’ll need to do is to pour the grapeseed oil into a bowl together with the cornmeal and vinegar. Stir all of the contents together until it becomes a pasty oil consistency.
When you use the natural hair care recipe, rinse your hair well with warm water before warming about a tablespoon of the mixture in your palms. Use your fingertips (do not use your nails) in a circular motion to gently massage the Dandruff recipe into your scalp.
When the entire scalp has been covered, place the plastic bag over your hair and allow the oil to remain for around 30 minutes. To finish, rinse well and then shampoo.
Another natural hair care rinse for dandruff you can try is this:
1 cup of apple cider vinegar
1 cup of water
2 tablespoons of lemongrass
2 tablespoons of nettle
2 tablespoons peppermint
In a saucepan, bring the apple cider vinegar and water to boil. Many natural hair care tips involve the use of infusions and similar creations, and this is a very similar treatment. In a jar or sealable container, place the herbs and pour the boiled water and apple cider vinegar over the herbs. Cover and allow the mix to steep for a full week before straining out the herbs and decanting the liquid for use.
To use this mix, dilute 1 part dandruff rinse with 5 parts water and use as a rinse after shampooing and rinsing your hair. Allow the dandruff rinse to sit on your scalp for at least a minute and then rinse thoroughly with cool water.
