Dandelion leaves are 5–25 cm long or longer, simple and basal, entire or lobed, forming a rosette above the central taproot. The flower heads are yellow to orange colored, and are open in the daytime but closed at night. The flower, leaves and root of the plant are great for home spa purposes, working to nourish the liver and skin. Dandelions are great as herbal tea ingredients as well as facial steams, and bath and body oils.
Dulse has a short stipe, with fronds that are variable and in color from deep-rose to reddish-purple and are rather leathery in texture. Dulse leaves have a high mineral content and are used to draw out impurities. This addition to the herbal remedy index is great for home spa body wraps and herbal face lifts.

Elder Flower is a deciduous suckering shrub growing to 3 m or more tall. The fruit is a dark purple to black berry 3-5 mm diameter, produced in drooping clusters in the fall. The berries and flowers are edible, but other parts of the plant are poisonous, containing toxic calcium oxalate crystals.
Elm leaves and bark have astringent and emollient cosmetic properties and can be used for home spa facial masks.
Eucalyptus may take the form of a low shrub or a very large tree. Nearly all Eucalyptus are evergreen but some tropical species lose their leaves at the end of the dry season. The most readily recognizable characteristics of Eucalyptus species are the distinctive flowers and fruit (capsules or "gumnuts"). Flowers have numerous fluffy stamens which may be white, cream, yellow, pink or red. Euphrasia (Eyebright) is given its common name thanks to the plant's use in treating eye infections. The leaves and flowers are useful for facial masks and eye creams.
Fennel is a perennial herb. It is erect, green, and grows to heights of up to 2.5 m, with hollow stems.
Fennel seeds are fragrant and useful for home spa applications like facial steams and even home-made breath mints.
Fenugreek is widely used as a herb and as a spice. The seeds have skin softening properties and are perfect for home spa facial masks.
Feverfew is a traditional medicinal herb which is found in many old gardens, and is also occasionally grown for ornament. The plant grows into a small bush up to around 46 cm high, with citrus-scented leaves and is covered by flowers reminiscent of daisies. It spreads rapidly, and they will cover a wide area after a few years. Feverfew flowers are great as home spa bath herbs and facial steams and are an important addition to any herbal remedy index.
